The Skyline Charitable Foundation (TSCF) and the Coney Island Brewing Company (CIB) hosted STRONGER TOGETHER, a fundraiser to benefit the NYC Ukrainian Refugee Relief Program, on Friday, August 5, 2022 (4-9 pm), at the Coney Island Brewery (1904 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11224).

The event was part of TSCF’s on-going humanitarian effort to support fellow Ukrainians, mostly women and children, who have fled their war-tormented country seeking refuge in New York.

TSCF and YourKindness have been conducting needs assessments with multiple networks of incoming and existing refugees of the current war in Ukraine. Many of these individuals and families have expressed a great need for grocery items and legal assistance, among many other items.

TSCF has been purchasing grocery gift cards from NetCost Market, to help provide some relief for the 100+ families that have applied for aid. NetCost is an Eastern European supermarket chain, which meets the cultural needs of the families they are supporting.

“We are thrilled to partner with CIB in our efforts to positively effect the lives of the Ukrainian people seeking refuge in our community, to overcome the horror of the war, until they can safely return home,” said Shana McCormick, Executive Director, The Skyline Charitable Foundation.

Sunflower tickets ($50) and Trident tickets ($100) were available for purchase on Eventbrite or at the door. 100% of the ticket sales benefit the NYC Ukrainian Refugee Relief Program.

The fundraiser was supported by Veselka restaurant offering “Ukrainian soul food.”

Ukrainian artists, Lesya Verba, songwriter and bandura player, and Shanis, the official voice of Disney's "Frozen"(Elsa) in Ukraine, finalist of the "The Voice"(Ukraine), and finalist of the national selection for "Eurovision” song contest performed live throughout the evening.
